Android device lost or stolen? If GPS is on, you can track it. If you can’t find the device, play a sound on the device, even if set to silent. You can even remotely erase the device, lock down (secure) the device, or require a sign in.

On Nov 15 2024, my Android Pixel phone alerted me that Android 15 was available for download and installation. Here is a list of phones that can get Android 15.
This includes a new Theft Detection Lock. If your phone sense that somebody has taken your phone and runs, bikes, or drives away, your phone will automatically lock.
With this update, Find My Device will now require authentication to turn it off. Turning this off is a common tactic for thieves.
