Email Etiquette: CC & BCC

Ms. A.A.M. suggested that I include information on email etiquette. She had just recently learned about the difference in using CC & BCC in an email. She wished that she had come across a website to teach her this. So, I am including this here. See the picture of one of my blank emails using Spark Email for reference.

CC stands for Carbon Copy. It includes a copy of the email to other recipients. All of the other recipients can see the email addresses of the other recipients.

BCC stands for Blind Carbon Copy. It also includes a copy of the email to other recipients. But, any of the recipients only sees the main recipient. So, in order to keep everybody anonymous, people often send the email to themself, and include all of the other recipients in the BCC field.
